    Measurement Conditions

    Johanson has made all efforts to ensure data that reflects the actual performance of the parts. Changes to substrate, mounting and matching will affect component performance. Customers must validate performance in their system.

    All Numbers are typical values with the following measurement conditions:

    • Series mounting
    • Horizontal orientation
    • Infinite heatsink
    • Duty cycle = 100%
    • Ambient temperature and maximum temperature: as shown in the ‘RF parameters’ window
    • Pad dimensions and spacing as recommended on our website https://www.johansontechnology.com/pcb-pad-layout-recommendations

    R05L series:

    • 14-mil thick FR4 substrate
    • Thermal resistance of DUT on substrate = 300°C/W

    R07S series:

    • 16-mil thick Rogers 4003C substrate
    • Thermal resistance of DUT on substrate = 120°C/W

    R14S series:

    • 16-mil thick Rogers 4003C substrate
    • Thermal resistance of DUT on substrate = 60°C/W

    R15S series:

    • 16-mil thick Rogers 4003C substrate
    • Thermal resistance of DUT on substrate = 40°C/W

    S42E series:

    • 60-mil thick Rogers 4350B substrate
    • Thermal resistance of DUT on substrate = 20°C/W

    S48E series

    • Thermal resistance of DUT on substrate = 15°C/W

    S58E series:

    • Thermal resistance of DUT on substrate = 12°C/W
